 André van Heerden - Producer - Cloud Ten Pictures
CEO, Producer, Director. André van Heerden has been working in practically every aspect of film and video production for over 15 years. His very first documentary, done as a video thesis at Carleton University's prestigious Journalism school, was sold to the National Film Board of Canada. Since then he has produced, written, directed, and post-supervised numerous documentaries, dozens of TV programs, and countless numbers of commercials, trailers, infomercials, and special features. Most notably André directed the feature films,REVELATION, TRIBULATION, JUDGMENT and DECEIVED;wrote the features JUDGMENT and LEFT BEHIND: WORLD AT WAR;co-produced LEFT BEHIND:THE MOVIE and LEFT BEHIND II: TRIBULTION FORCE and produced LEFT BEHIND: WORLD AT WAR. He is widely respected and liked by the cast and crews that he works with and has become one of the most well-known and accomplished filmmakers within the Christian film market.
André accepted the position of CEO of Cloud Ten Pictures in December 2007, and together with Paul Lalonde as majority Shareholder, the duo are responsible for re-introducing Cloud Ten as a player in the Christian film market with new acquisition releases, SMUGGLERS' RANSOM and GENIUS CLUB, a co-production SAVING GOD and the newly launched Cloud Ten Church Cinemas. Since André assumed leadership, Cloud Ten has settled its long-standing legal disputes with Tim LaHaye, co-author of the Left Behind Book Series, and Namesake Entertainment and has entered into strategic partnerships with AOM and distribution deals with Koch Entertainment and CNI Distribution and Sony DADC Replication. As the new face of Cloud Ten, André is re-establishing the company as a leader in Christian entertainment. |
